The Space
Welcome to your peaceful Northern Michigan escape! Nestled on 10 private acres in Onaway, this cozy and thoughtfully designed getaway is the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy nature. The property features a private turtle pond, beautiful wooded surroundings, and plenty of space to unwind while still being close to local attractions and adventure.
This charming home comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Inside, you’ll find cozy furnishings, personal touches throughout, and a warm Up North feel that makes you instantly feel at home. Whether you’re sipping coffee while watching wildlife, spending evenings around the fire, or exploring the area, this property offers the perfect balance of comfort and tranquility.
Conveniently located:
- About 15 minutes to downtown Onaway for groceries, restaurants, and small-town charm
- Around 20 minutes to the famous Ocqueoc Falls, the largest waterfall in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula
- Approximately 15 minutes to Onaway Speedway for race nights and local events
- Roughly 25 minutes from the I-75 exit in Indian River, making travel easy while still feeling tucked away and private

Guest Access
Guests will have access to the main home, outdoor spaces, private turtle pond area, and surrounding acreage to enjoy during their stay. Feel free to explore and enjoy the peaceful property, wildlife, and cozy Up North atmosphere!
Please note that the garage is not accessible to guests and will remain locked during your stay. There may also be a couple small owner storage closets inside the home that are locked for supplies and personal items. Everything else in the home is yours to enjoy comfortably during your visit.
Other Things to Note
- Sleeping arrangements include 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, an additional twin mattress, and a full-size pullout sofa in the front living area.
- One Ziploc bag of turtle food per guest is included during the warmer season so you can enjoy feeding the turtles at Turtle Pond.
- The woodstove is currently not permitted for guest use at this time.
- An outdoor wood fire pit is available for guest enjoyment. A limited amount of firewood is provided.
- Turtle Pond is peaceful and scenic, but it is not recommended for swimming. Guests are welcome to bring their own kayaks or paddleboards and must use appropriate life jackets and water safety precautions.
- While the property feels cozy and tucked into nature, neighboring homes can be seen from portions of the house and front yard.
- Please note this is a quiet, nature-focused property meant for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
The Space
Clean, Cozy, & Cute! We bring as many amenities to this quaint little place as possible all while trying to keep it simple and straightforward.
The full and twin size beds are brand new memory foam with premium pillows for a great nights sleep. You have access to additional blankets, compostable dinnerware, grill and accessories, fun games, a air fryer/convection oven and adorable decor. We are prepared to cated this location to hunters looking for a landing pad or parents looking for a mommy and me getaway! We want you to be comfortable in our clean and quaint little house.
We have no shower facilities but do have a Porta Potty 50 foot away.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the mini cabin, any of the mowed yard, we advise you stay out of the non-mowed areas for the sake of any potential holes that have not been filled in yet. There is a house on the property but it is not livable at this time and will remain locked.
Other Things to Note
There is a vacant/non-liveable house on the property. Occasionally we stop by to drop trash in the dumpster or work on the house. We will always give you a heads up beforehand If we decide to stop by. occasionally we have contractors working on the house.
We are on M-68. You can hear and see cars going by and there are no trees blocking the view of the road unfortunately.
The cabin is well insulated so you may have no issues with sound. We also provide heaters and fans to help with the noise.
We do have a water spigot 10 feet away that should run year round and a maintained porta potty. We have a portable camping shower unit, but you would need to heat up your own water.
