The Space

Welcome to your perfect group getaway on Black Lake! These two cozy cottages sit just 20 feet apart with 100 feet of private lake frontage. Previously listed separately with Superhost status, we’ve combined them into one retreat for families and friends to enjoy together. One cottage features 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, the other 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. Both offer inviting sunrooms with extra sleeping areas, allowing space for up to 18 guests to relax comfortably.

Spend your days swimming, fishing, or boating right out front, then gather for evening campfires along the shore. Within 20 minutes you’ll find Ocqueoc Falls—the only waterfall in the Lower Peninsula—perfect for a day trip. We’re also just minutes from the UAW Center, UAW Golf Center, and only 10 minutes from downtown Onaway for shopping and dining.

Whether you’re seeking adventure on the water, a round of golf, or a cozy place to reconnect with loved ones, our side-by-side Black Lake cottages offer the ideal Northern Michigan experience.

Guest Access

Guests will have full access to both cottages and the 100 feet of private Black Lake frontage. The shoreline is very family-friendly, with a sandy bottom and shallow waters that do not get deep right away—perfect for kids and swimming. The blue cottage features a break wall along the water, while the black cottage has a rock retaining wall, giving you multiple spots to enjoy the lake.

Other Things to Note

NO PARTIES or excessive noise. We love our neighbors and need to offer them respect so we are able to continue providing accommodations to our guests. We strive to be a family friendly location, even if you are traveling with friends, we still hope for a similar friendly atmosphere for all.

Parking

In the summer months/when there's no snow, you can fit:

• 2 vehicles/trailers between the black cottage and cedar hedges.
• 1-2 vehicles/trailers a long the brown barn on the left hand side of the driveway AS LONG AS you are not blocking the driveway as it is a culdesac.
• 1 vehicle/trailer in front of the swingset at the black cottage.
• 1 EMPTY trailer in front of the tan shed at the black cottage (our septic field is here so NO LOADED TRAILERS OR VEHICLES)
• 4 vehicles/trailers in front of the blue cottage.

Parking in the WINTER months/when there is snow:

Parking gets tighter in the winter due to snow plowing. We cannot accommodate as many vehicles when there is snow on the ground. In the wintertime there can be no more than 4-5 vehicles in the driveway. Primary parking will be in front of the blue cottage.

You may not block the driveway at any time because this is a shared driveway/ cul-de-sac with other cottage owners.

Trash

These Cottages share two trash cans that are emptied once a week.
