Indian River Black Bear Retreat

Find some R&R at our cozy cabin in the woods just 9 minutes from downtown Indian River.

This 3 story home provides sleeping for 10 with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. You can sleep peacefully with your party in our 7 beds. Our largest beds are 1 king on the main level and 1 queen in the upper level, the rest of the beds are twins and trundles.

We offer you a peaceful (and clean) place to sleep and adventure.

This location is a comfortable drive from ski resorts and Mackinaw City (30-40 minutes).

The Space

Black Bear Retreat is situated on 0.48 acres in a friendly neighborhood. We have close neighbors and a paved road around the cul-de-sac.

The basement level (finished) can be accessed without any steps but the 2nd and 3rd stories require climbing a flight of steps.

Big Bear Adventures is within 5 minutes of the house and offers year round rafting trips and summertime kayaking, tubing and canoeing trips, and customers have the option of starting or ending their kayaking and rafting adventure just minutes from the house at the public Sturgeon River access.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire 3 story cabin except for a couple locked supply closets and the garage.

There are keyless entries on the main and lower levels of the cabin.

Other Things to Note

⭐ The basement ceiling is unfinished

⭐ This is a multi level home- 3 stories.

⭐There is one king-sized bed in bedroom #1 on the main level, along with a kitchen, dining area, full bathroom with a bathtub and finally the laundry area.

⭐ The upstairs level (3rd level) has 2 bedrooms (one with a queen sized bed & one with 2 twin bed and one twin trundle bed). There is also one full size bathroom with a small walk in shower.

⭐ We are 9 minutes from downtown Indian River, located on Sturgeon Valley Drive.

⭐ We allow pets with a pet fee. You are responsible for cleaning up after them and for any damages. Please do not leave untrained animals alone in the house unless they are in a crate.

⭐ In the winter time, the driveway is more narrow and can probably only accommodate three or four vehicles, or two vehicles with trailers.
